Managing Your Account Profile

Who this is for:FreeBasicProOrganization

Your Zibit account profile is your personal home base — it controls how you appear to collaborators, how you sign in, and how your account stays secure. Whether you're a museum technologist managing a team building interactive exhibits, or a solo designer delivering digital signage for a cultural institution, keeping your profile details accurate helps your teammates know who they're working with and ensures you never lose access to your projects.

Managing Your Account Settings

Your Account page is where you control everything personal to your Zibit profile. Use the tabs on the left — Profile, Security, Email & notifications, Subscription, and Danger zone — to navigate between sections.

Start with Profile to update your Display name and other basic details. When you're done making changes in any section, click Save changes to apply them. Don't worry — you can come back and update these settings at any time.

Reviewing Your Profile Details

The Account page gives you a quick overview of your personal information. On the Profile tab, you'll see your Display name — the name shown to collaborators across your projects — along with your verified email address and the date you joined Zibit.

If your display name needs updating, edit it directly in the field and click "Save changes" when you're done. Your email address and member-since date are read-only, so those stay just as they are.

Setting Your Display Name

Your display name is how you appear to teammates and collaborators across Zibit — for example, when you're listed as a contributor on a shared museum project. Head to the Account page and find the Display name field to update it.

Type the name you'd like to use, then click "Save changes" to apply it. You can come back and update this at any time.

Managing Your Security Settings

The Security tab is where you control access to your Zibit account. You can update your password by entering your Current password, then typing and confirming a new one — click Update password to save your changes. If you'd prefer to log in with Google, click Connect Google to link that account instead.

You'll also see a list of all active sessions across your devices. If you notice anything unfamiliar, you can click Sign out next to individual sessions to remove them, or use Sign out of other devices to clear everything except your current session in one go. This is a great habit to follow if you work across shared museum kiosks or exhibition machines.

You're all set to keep your Zibit profile up to date. With accurate account details, you'll collaborate more smoothly and keep your work secure. Here are a few good next steps to explore:

  • Invite teammates to your project — now that your display name is set, collaborators will see exactly who's contributing to each exhibit or experience.
  • Review your notification preferences — check your account settings to control how and when Zibit keeps you in the loop.
  • Set up a style set — establish a shared bundle of typography and colors so your whole team builds with a consistent visual language.
  • Connect a collection — link a reusable data set to your project to power dynamic, data-driven moments across your displays.
  • Explore display settings — configure your target screen resolution so your views are pixel-perfect on the museum floor from day one.
