Players & multi-screen

What is a digital signage player?

A digital signage player is the app or appliance that runs published content on a physical screen. In Zibit, the Zibit player app installs on Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android, BrightSign, Raspberry Pi, tvOS, and Amazon sticks, keeps a local copy of the project, and continues playing if the network drops.

The editor is where you design. The player is what the visitor actually sees. A player installation is one live instance of that app on a device—additional installations are how you scale to more screens.

If a display loses power, a device in installation mode resumes the last published project after restart. Publishing new updates still needs a connection; web embeds always do. Hardware live previews let you test on the real screen before you go live.

What devices does Zibit support?

Zibit runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android, BrightSign, Raspberry Pi, tvOS, and Amazon sticks through the Zibit player app, and projects can also be embedded on any website. Content syncs in real time across all connected displays.

What happens if I need more than one player installation?

Additional player installations are $80/month each, on top of your plan. Basic includes 1 and can go up to 4 total, Professional includes 5 (up to 9 total), and Organization includes 10 (no upper limit).

Does Zibit work without an internet connection?

Yes, once a project is published to the Zibit player app. The player keeps a local copy, so the display continues running if the network drops. Publishing updates, real-time analytics data, and web embeds still need an internet connection.

What happens if a display loses power or network connection?

If a display loses network, the Zibit player app keeps running the last published project from its local cache. If it loses power, a device in installation mode resumes that same published project after restart.
